THREE GENERATIONS of LOCAL

Louis Borghesani
A seasoned entrepreneur, having successfully started a restaurant, clothing store, cleaners, barbershop, florist, and variety store, Lou got tired of the big city and in 1956 sold everything, moving his family to Kelseyville. He started the lumberyard, and the business took off.

Robert Borghesani
Lou’s son Bob worked in the family business since he was young. The business continued to grow, and Bob eventually took it over from his father. Bob’s sons, Mark and Paul, joined him in the family business.

Mark Borghesani
Mark became the General Manager, working with his father Bob, mother Anni, and brother Paul. The lumber yard continued to grow, to the point where they needed to expand or find another location.

New Location
A handshake deal led to the purchase of an orchard, which eventually became the new location for the lumberyard. The family made a very large investment in the new facilities, showing their commitment to Lake County and its people.

Not an Impersonal Big Box
Not only are they now the largest lumberyard in Lake and Mendocino counties, encompassing 17 acres, Kelseyville Lumber is also a true home improvement superstore. With over 80,000 square feet of everything the professional and the DIYer needs, the store allows the people of Lake County to never have to make the long drive out of the county to an impersonal big box store.

‘Love This Store’
If you haven’t stepped inside Kelseyville Lumber, you owe it to yourself to check it out. The store is famous for its Ladies’ Night, when the ladies line up around the block to get in. There’s even a great restaurant! Our staff regularly hears people say, ‘I love this store.’ We hope you love it, too.
